ESB ESOP Board

The ESB ESOP is managed and administered by the Trustee, ESB ESOP Trustee Limited. The Trustee has a duty to act fairly and in the best interests of participants.

Decisions of the ESOP Trustee are made by its Board of seven directors. The directors comprise:

four people nominated by the Group of Unions on behalf of employees;
two people nominated by ESB;
one independent professional trustee director who also acts as Chairperson.

In addition, there is one alternate (substitute) director for the Employee Nominated Directors and one for the Company Nominated Directors.

David Beattie

Professional Trustee Director and Chairman of ESB ESOP. Retired Solicitor. Appointed to the ESB ESOP Board in December 2001.

 

 

 

Grace Arthur

Company Nominated Trustee Director. Senior Manager, ESB Group Finance and Commercial. Appointed to the ESB ESOP Board in December 2021.

 

 

 

Fintan Dunne

Employee Nominated Trustee Director. Network Technician, ESB Networks. Member of the Connect Trade Union. Appointed to the ESB ESOP Board in December 2021.

 

 

 

Adrian Fox

Employee Nominated Trustee Director. Technician, ESB Generation and Trading. Member of the Services, Industrial, Professional and Technical Union (SIPTU).  Appointed to the ESB ESOP Board in December 2017.

 

 

Maria Irish

Employee Nominated Trustee Director. Business Operations, ESB Enterprise Services. Member of the Energy Services Union (ESU). Appointed to the ESB ESOP Board in December 2021.

 

 

Martin Lynch

Alternate Employee Nominated Trustee Director. Estates Manager, ESB Engineering and Major Projects. Chartered Surveyor. Member of the Energy Services Union (ESU). Appointed to the ESB ESOP Board in December 2013.

 

 

 

Tom McMahon

Alternate Company Nominated Trustee Director. Senior Manager, ESB People and Organisation Development.  Appointed to the ESB ESOP Board in July 2013.

 

 

 

Niamh Quinn

Company Nominated Trustee Director. Senior Manager, ESB Engineering and Major Projects. Appointed to the ESB ESOP Board in April 2020.

 

 

 

John Wallace

Employee Nominated Trustee Director.  Telecoms Engineer, ESB Networks. Member of Unite the Union. Appointed to the ESB ESOP Board in December 2021.
